ElevatorHand lets you calculate your bin inventories like examiners do!

ElevatorHand offers grain industry professionals the same comprehensive BIN MEASURE-UP SOFTWARE that state warehouse examiners have trusted since 1990.  ElevatorHand figures capacities based on bin dimensions for round bins, round bins with peaked roofs (steel bins), pie-shaped, hexagonal and octagonal bins.  In addition, it calculates flat, square, quonset, hemispherical and even trapezoidal building capacities.

For those who manage grain inventory from a single office, ElevatorHand is the right tool for the job.  It allows entry of an unlimited number of bins from an unlimited number of facilities, but it is designed as a single-user application.  Examples of typical ElevatorHand users include internal auditors, CPAs, and small grain elevators, and corporate branch elevators.  Package comes with on-line help and a bin geometry manual.  Cost is $500.00 which includes shipping and pre-loading your bin chart (in addition, sales tax will be charged in IL and MN).  No prepayment is required.  We will invoice you.  Requires: Windows '95/’98 or newer, 32MB of memory, 10MB of disk space, CD-ROM drive.

Before bin inventories can be measured, the bushel capacity of the grain elevator must be calculated.  Our staff will take the official bin charts from your facility and transfer them from your state regulatory authority into your ElevatorHand.

Only a few pieces of information necessary to inventory upright bins, ElevatorHand does the rest:

1. What grain is in the bin?

2. What's the test weight of the grain (default is standard test weight for the grain)

3. What's the bin's vertical air space (as measured from the top of the bin).

4. How does the grain lay? (cone up, cone down, high side, etc.).

Proven in the Field with State Warehouse Examiners

ElevatorHand uses the same USDA-published pack data for calculating grain capacity and inventory used by all federal and state examiners.

The packed bushel quantity in a bin is calculated in a snap based on the bin's base pack, bushels per foot, grain type, and grain test weight.  ElevatorHand uses USDA packing data for 15 grains including corn, soybeans, spring wheat, winter wheat, oats, barley, buckwheat, milo, durum, and others.  The user may add or alter any number of grains.  In addition, we use the grain's natural "angle of repose" to "level" the grain depth based on whether your measurement was from the high side, low side, cone up, or cone down.  The user may have a unique value for each grain’s fill and unload angles.

Special Flat Storage Inventory Module

Using standardized geometric shapes, ElevatorHand helps you with the often difficult task of calculating grain inventory in flat buildings containing partially loaded, augered, or otherwise irregular grain piles.  ElevatorHand also allows inclusion of containerized inventory.
